Prof. You He

Naval Aviation University

You He, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Rear Admiral of the PLA Navy, is a professor and doctoral supervisor at Naval Aviation University. He earned his Doctor of Engineering degree from Tsinghua University in 1997 and pursued advanced studies in Germany. Currently, he serves as Director of the Institute of Information Fusion and a military key laboratory at the university, and holds important leading positions in a host of renowned domestic and international academic associations.

He has claimed four National Science and Technology Progress Second Prizes, multiple national teaching awards and over ten provincial/ministerial first prizes. He possesses more than 60 authorized invention patents and software copyrights. To date, he has published six monographs and over 260 academic papers, which have been cited over 30,000 times, and supervised more than 300 postdoctoral, doctoral and master’s students. He has won a series of prestigious talent and science awards at national and provincial levels. His main research directions include signal detection, information fusion, as well as intelligent technology and its applications.

Prof. Jianru Xue

Xi’an Jiaotong University

Jianru Xue, Professor and Ph.D. Supervisor at Xi’an Jiaotong University, is a recipient of major national talent programs. He earned his Ph.D. from Xi’an Jiaotong University in 2003, and conducted collaborative research at Fuji Xerox in Japan (2002–2003) and was a visiting scholar at UCLA (2008–2009).

His research interests include computer vision and pattern recognition, machine learning, and autonomous intelligent systems. He has co-authored one English monograph and published over 100 journal and conference papers. He has received the Second Prize of the National Natural Science Award and the Second Prize of the National Technological Invention Award. He has been selected as a National Science and Technology Innovation Leading Talent and a New Century Excellent Talent by the Ministry of Education. His honors include the IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Society Outstanding Research Team Award, the Chinese Association of Automation Young Scientist Award, the Shaanxi Provincial Youth Science and Technology Award, and the title of Shaanxi Provincial Youth Pace-setter. He currently serves as Chair of the Hybrid Intelligence Technical Committee of the Chinese Association of Automation, Director of the China Society of Image and Graphics, and Vice Chair of its Visual Big Data Technical Committee.

Southeast University
